Went to the Sydney YSA Multi-Stake Dance themed "Circus Colours" and here is an entertaining outline of the sydney ysa dance "circus colours" for me:

- the excitement of learning friends were traveling down for the dance
until i'm asked: 
"straight guys can't dance right?"
urgh! let it die!

- picked up courtney
at 7:20, arrived at the dance at quarter to 8, parked the car... where are all the cars?

the dance was supposed to start at 7pm and we know everyone drags their feet coming but even by 8, courtney and i were the only ones there!

- taking rave pictures
with courtney outside in the dark with glowsticks.

- slow dancing with gideon 
in the middle of the dancefloor to a fast song - with everybody else watching.

- slow dancing with gideon p2
and pointing and pretending to laugh at jake.

- slow dancing with gideon p3
and having a conversation pretending we had never met.

- jake chatting up courtney's rellies
for most of the night.

- slow dancing with gemma
and laughing at ourselves.

- wanting to steal gideon's shirt
because it's pretty and i want it.

- impersonating gideon
and re-enacting the first time he came up to me at a dance.

- meeting the infamous heidi in person
and learning about the "punk/toast relationship" she and gideon share.

- winning a box of chocolates
for no apparent reason.

- explaining to gideon the "R.Ms are hot stuff" idea
with jake and confusing not only him but myself.

- choking on a drink
that i found in a watermelon and advising the curious courtney not to drink it.

- watching heidi and lincoln
and the curious scene that unfolded before me as heidi helped lincoln button his shirt up the right way (either that, or she was doing the opposite) ^.- 

- heidi telling me her comedy schedule
for her upcoming life and her willing to share it with me.

- being laughed at by gideon and heidi
as they slow danced.

- being injured by someone's stiletto
and getting a nice bruise.

- trying to stick a giant banner
to the wall ad laughing with courtney while trying not to fall off a precariously balanced chair.

- being scared of heidi
as she explained her role as gideon's gate keeper and told what she was capable of doing to girls who made fun of gideon. but said i was alright because i was "fun-sized".

- gideon explaining the other half of "captain good-looking"
and the suss looking dave/gideon/bird statue photo.

- helping gideon
put his glowstick bracelets on and arguing with him that wearing the pink and yellow ones wouldn't make him look any gayer.

- gideon doing the "all the single ladies" walk
and finally seeing it :D

- courtney dancing with mitchell
and me not being able to find her afterwards.

so that's my enjoyment for the night and can't wait for the next. that should be interesting...
